Nine Billion Names of Fear is a podcast exploring fear and how it informs our lives and experiences.

Framed partially through personal experience, and partially through the eyes of a formerly aspiring academic, this podcast is an exploration in honesty and interdisciplinary study of this basic human emotion.

Katie Muggli originally created Nine Billion Names of Fear in 2012, in the form of her graduate synthesis project.

When COVID-19 hit, she knew it was time to dust off the text, dive back in, and share.

She lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pieces of paper she’s collected along the way:

Bachelor of Arts, College of Saint Benedict

Master of Arts, Hamline University

Women in Leadership Certificate, Cornell University
